Technology resources are so valuable today in the classroom for the students as well as ourselves. Just recently, I attempted to go to a website that my school has always had a subscription to. It's an interactive program online that countless science, social studies, math, and language arts teachers have used for years. I was saddened to see that we no longer have the subscription. This was a program the kids enjoyed learning through and I enjoyed teaching through as the excerpts were short yet effective in keeping the attention of the students, using humor as a learning tool, and even a short assessment was available at the end to make sure the students learned about what they just viewed. I was told we are in the process of getting a new subscription, but that it was expensive, so we are trying to determine if it's a needed expense. That was several months ago.
ReplyDeleteTough job you have lined up for yourself. My only recommendation would be for you to focus on one campus first, and then the district. I wish you the best of luck. I am looking forward to read your next post.
