Assignment One
Reflection
I started off week one creating a script. I thought “what is
my story?!” or better yet which one of many should I tell? I decided to tell
the story of the events that lead me here, obtaining my Masters in Ed. Tech.
Leadership. The process of writing my
script went fairly smooth. After reviewing my script with my critical friend, I
decided to lay out my visuals by collecting personal photos and online images. The challenge came about when it became time
to select a medium in which to bring my script to life. I chose Window Live
Movie Maker. The process of making the movie started off by going through my
script and aligning my graphics to my story, a storyboard. I then had to record narration and figure out
through a bit of research how to align my narration with my visual elements. I discovered how to fade the narration in and
out to make the narration seamless. Because I decided to use images from the
web, respecting the guidelines of Digital Citizenship I added credits for the
images selected. The overall process of creating my digital story was rewarding
and I look forward to creating more in the class.
